CAD Technician providing routine drafting and design support for Professional Engineer/Project Engineer during the planning and design of typical civil engineering projects such as roads, residential and commercial projects, and schools.* Transforms initial rough product designs using computer aided design (CADD) into working documents.* Reviews and completes detailed notes, Cover Sheets, Basic redlines* Obtain work assignments of either specific design elements or CADD drafting from Professional Engineer/Project Engineer with an allocated budget.

Utilize computer-aided design and drafting software to provide technical drafting support in the creation of fixture plans, architectural drawings and maps. Gathering specs and other requirements to interpret and translate business needs. Utilizing graphic reproduction and CADD software to create and update drawings based on drawing files or field survey data. • Prepare fixture plans for supermarket facilities, distribution centers and office layouts using either computer assisted or conventional drafting techniques.• Interact with merchandising and outside vendors to interpret, develop and maintain interior décor and signage standards.• Interpret data and make decisions based on available information and prototype criteria. • Prepare drawings for construction activities and manage the computer files. • Interpret and verify as-built information and transfer the data to CADD files. • Assist project managers with daily assignments. • Prepare capital improvement CADD drawings for special projects as assigned• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

• The production of master plans, construction plans, and final plats that convey to the clients the implementation of the land plans, and meet the approval of local, state, & federal agencies. The preparation of record drawings for jurisdictional/utility submittals. • Take design information and create residential, commercial, and industrial construction plans, usually consisting of a cover sheet, site plan, grading plan, utility plan, erosion control plans, street plans, site entrance, traffic control (or signal lighting plan), cul-de-sac and intersection plans, storm and sanitary plan and profiles, water plans, and details.• Quality control that work product meets the plan design.
