Joining Universal Works was great opportunity to work for a British workwear orientated luxury clothing brand . With experience working as a manager I was able to be promoted from Sales Assistant to Supervisor very quickly. Like the previous positions I had occupied, the supervisor role at Universal works required me to exercise and present a lot brand history and technical knowledge regarding textiles and clothing construction. As a supervisor, my responsibilities were to perform cash handling, direct the team regarding stock counts, building client interactions, organising stock movement between Universal Works Headquarters and the Berwick Street Universal Works store and organising the maintenance of the front of house

Brand loyalty, hard work and perseverance provided a welcomed opportunity to become store manager. This opportunity provided the chance to lead a team to success regarding targets (average basket cost and average basket sizes) and in store customer service experiences. As manager it was also my role to set targets for apparel subclasses, ensuring that lagging classes such as knitwear received extended enthuses sales wise. Providing a bridge of communication between A.P.C. Headquarters, Visual Merchandisers, Public Relations and in store staff allowed me to ensure that the store was achieving and surpassing expectations. To ensure this , activities such as weekly head office written reports, staff training regarding service and apparel composition and organisation of in store shopping events were mandatory. Furthermore, this provided the chance to incorporate new ideas and incentives in the store daily processes such as; organising staff to have private customers and encouragement to provide an extended service to regular store attenders or big spenders. Extended house keeping ensuring that visual merchandise was optimum, organising stock takes to keep an eye on theft and stock management and staff recruitment ensuring that the store was operated by a great team was also mandatory. A.P.C. has a diverse range of international customers so it was mandatory that service was adapted to different social expectations.
