With my training and experience as a speech-language pathologist, I aim to empower students with a variety of communication disorders and grade levels through excellent speech-language services. My approach to therapy is to "put myself out of business"​ by empowering my students and clients to master skills independently. Thorough, ongoing assessment is also critical to success because it guides therapy and acts as a record of progress. I always aim for assessment and therapy to be evidence-based by incorporating peer-reviewed research and personal factors into every clinical decision. Collaboration with teachers, support staff, families and other professionals is essential. It is the ongoing support of these individuals that makes clinical progress an everyday reality. Most importantly, I treat every student or client with unconditional positive regard and strive to develop an excellent rapport. I bring a variety of experiences to my practice as a speech-language pathologist. Through these experiences, I have had the privilege of working with individuals with a variety of backgrounds, personalities, abilities and disabilities. I have had the opportunity to work with toddlers, preschoolers, school-aged children, adolescents and adults. In addition to the principal duties of assessment and treatment, I have worn other "hats" including advocate, counselor, in-service trainer, case manager, goal writer and committee member.
