I am responsible for the functioning and forward progress of six primary areas for Audubon Delta, a three state regional office of the National Audubon Society. 1) Finance and Budgets (including capital development 2) Grants and Fund Raising 3) Human Resources assistance and procedures 4) Staff Morale, including onboarding, trainings, and staff retreats 5) Oversee two conservation centers - Little Rock Audubon Center and the Pascagoula River Audubon Center and 6) Equity, Diversity, inclusion, and Belonging in *everything* I do.

As the Senior Program Manager, I supervise all aspects of the coastal stewardship programs in Louisiana and Mississippi for Audubon Delta. This includes human resources, budgeting, grant writing and management, marketing and outreach, science and conservation, data quality, strategic planning, and volunteer management. Much of my job requires an expertise in problem-solving, communications, and project management. As time allows, I participate in surveys myself, such as the Audubon Coastal Bird Survey. An additional aspect of my job is assisting with management of a NRDA grant that provides funding to Alabama Audubon and the City of Orange Beach. Through this grant we have increasingly established a "northern Gulf states" coastal stewardship plan, a tri-state collaboration to align data protocols, reports, and outreach efforts.

Within Audubon Delta I serve on several committees, including Strategic Planning, Strategic Planning Tracking (co-lead), Centers Strategic Planning, Senior Leadership Team, Operations Committee, Interpretive Committee, and other smaller groups specific to the conservation and coastal stewardship teams. I additionally serve on the steering committee for the LGBTQIA++ affinity group and am a member of the first National Audubon Society EDIB Staff Council (trainings subcommittee). I previously served on the Affinity Group Advisory Council as well.

Administers all aspects of the $30+ million capital development program for the Parks and Recreation Bureau of WDNR, including all state parks and trails, facilities, historic sites, state recreation areas, state forests, and interpretive centers. Core responsibilities include comprehensive recreational planning for parks and trails; budgeting multi-million dollar projects across 20 funding sources; statewide prioritization of funding, maintain project timelines, construction plan review, and emergency response funding; facilitate inter-departmental communication with engineering and finance to manage projects, as well as external partners and donors; ensure archaeological, historic, and natural heritage compliance for all projects; coordinate disaster response for all WDNR properties impacted in five FEMA declared disasters, including $8 million in 2018 flood events.

Managed the UPD Capital Budget and Planning ($700,000 annually, and $3 million in a 3-year rotation) with an average of 25 active contracts at a time. Core responsibilities included contracting and construction supervision of projects up to $500,000 and budgeting for projects up to $6 million; cooperative planning, design, engineering review and public bidding for facility and trails construction, natural area restorations and waterways, and park revitalization; delivered project reports and presentations to staff, the board of commissioners, community stakeholders, and media; wrote and administered grants and fund raising campaigns for private giving and state and federal funds; and coordinated with the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, Illinois Environmental Protection Agency, and US Army Corps of Engineers. Providing strategic and interpretive planning services to a local history museum.

Managed front-end administrative and customer service functions at the Anita Purves Nature Center. Core responsibilities included: supervised up to fifteen part-time staff people; participated on Meadowbrook Park interpretive planning team; managed all documentation for programs, events, and rentals at the nature center; developed seasonal exhibit and interpretive upgrades for the Field Station; and developed special events, including musical festival Strawberry Jam serving up to 2,000 visitors.

Developed a business plan to lead the museum through a building renovation.

Developed a Trailside Interpretive Plan through staff interviews, an inventory of existing signage, and research into current best practices.

Designed, implemented, and evaluated all educational functions for the Historical Society’s five historic properties, including weekly school and adult tours, volunteer recruitment and management, monthly public and family programs, discovery kits, and regional partnerships with local non-profits.

Provided administrative assistance to the Collections Manager for the San Lorenzo Pioneer Cemetery master plan and the collections inventory.

Supervised ten students and coordinated with the exhibit curator in developing displays and text for the California Homicide Investigators Association (CHIA) conference in March 2011. Coordinated exhibit design process on a tight schedule, and personally designed displays. Also supervised evening installation and deinstallation at the Hilton Hotel.

Coordinated all educational functions for the Museum Studies fall 2010 exhibit “Eat, Drink, and Be Buried: Life and Death Among the Etruscans.” Led a team of four colleagues in the development and implementation of hands-on interactives within the exhibit, a 65 page pre- and post-visit teacher packet, guided visit structure, and volunteer recruitment and training.

Supported all aspects of the museum’s advancement department, including grant-writing, marketing research, and membership development.

Designed and evaluated educational programming for eight family group overnights each summer, including games, self-guided tours, and presentations.

Supervised 35 teens in their roles as on-grounds interpreters.

Researched potential grant sources for the community docent project. Contacted grant sources, wrote and sent letters of interest, and assisted with grant-writing.

Recruited, trained, and recognized 15 docents for the Museum Studies fall 2009 exhibit “Lost Cities of North Africa.” Edited the volunteer handbook.

Provided one-on-one therapy for 20 autistic children aged 3-7 at school and in home settings. Conducted instructional drills with children, recorded data, and transferred scores daily.

Created mounts and archival boxes for several dozen artifacts from the anthropology collection, and assisted with re-housing them.

Designed, produced, and evaluated hands-on activities to accompany tours at the museum.

Supervised two employees in daily tasks in the greenhouse. Implemented a comprehensive plan for plant care and general maintenance with the assistance of biology faculty.

Interpreted the garden to visitors of all ages. Developed butterfly boxes and informal exhibit displays.

Coordinated and implemented the removal of invasive plant species from Chicago area forest preserves and prairies. Formerly certified in chainsaw use and maintenance and herbicide application.
