A creative and mission-driven executive with two decades of social impact experience, Jared Milrad is a dynamic relationship builder, social change catalyst, and visionary leader.Jared founded Movikarma, a nonprofit that fosters inclusion and representation in Hollywood, and A Show For A Change, a social impact entertainment company. He launched an Inclusive Pathways Program, streaming platform, and social impact film festival; created numerous original films and TV pilots; developed a global podcast featuring Oscar-winning talent; and built high-level relationships with the Biden Administration, Warner Bros Discovery, Netflix, Paramount, Amazon Studios and Lionsgate. He also served as an Executive Producer on a social impact project with TIME Studios.Jared worked for President Obama on both of his presidential campaigns, served in the White House, and worked with a Biden cabinet official on a national transgender equity initiative. Earlier, Jared founded a nonprofit to help families afford legal services, Civic Legal Corps, for which he personally cultivated support from U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor, philanthropist Peter Buffett, and the Dean of Harvard Law School. He has appeared in dozens of major media outlets worldwide, including The New York Times, MSNBC, and TIME, The Advocate, Mic, and Out Magazine. Jared has worked for several national nonprofits, developed technology-based programs to empower at-risk youth, and co-authored two memoirs and a poetry collection.Jared recently served as Director of Engagement at Brady United Against Gun Violence. He has worked on political and issue-based campaigns, including managing successful School Board candidates and volunteering for State Senate, Mayoral and Gubernatorial campaigns. Jared interned in the U.S. Senate and for U.S. Senator Mark Warner. He was a first-time candidate for City Council in Long Beach, CA, where he was endorsed by actor Kal Penn, Run For Something, and other leaders. Jared earned a law degree from Northeastern University School of Law, where he was selected for several scholarships and a prestigious internship in the U.S. Court of Appeals For The First Circuit. Jared holds a graduate degree from Tufts University and was awarded the Presidential Award for Citizenship and Public Service. He graduated with highest honors from North Carolina State University, where he earned the General Hugh Shelton Leadership Award of Excellence and the Caldwell Fellowship. Jared delivered the Student Commencement Address for over 10,000 graduates and families.
