I am an English teacher with a passion for ensuring that all students are supported to succeed academically, socially and emotionally to be the best that they can be. Believing that students should be empowered through their education I strongly advocate for student agency, voice and choice across all aspects of their schooling experience. I value the importance of creating a culture of thinking within my classroom to make thinking visible and engage students in deep learning. I also focus on supporting students to take ownership of their learning while fostering strong connections with my students to ensure they feel valued. I am an avid reader who is always seeking to gain new knowledge. Currently completing the Master of Education in Assessment and Pedagogy at the University of Melbourne.
