As a Desk Assistant at Virginia Commonwealth University, I represent and support the Department of Residential Life and Housing in interactions with students, faculty, staff, parents, and guests. I provide reliable, responsible, and responsive assistance to other employees of Residential Life and Housing and other University officials, such as performing certain administrative duties. I also contribute to Residential Life and Housing administrative needs by providing prompt support with tasks, such as completing all logs accurately and timely, assisting with check-in and check-out procedures, submitting work orders, and other tasks assigned by all personnel in Residential Life and Housing.I am currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, with a passion for web design, data analysis, and data visualization. I have developed multiple web pages and applications using HTML, and I have used tools such as Excel, Tableau, and Power BI to collect, analyze, and present data in various formats and contexts. I am the Director of Information Systems of Developing Men of Color, a student organization that aims to empower, mentor, and support men of color on campus. In this role, I managed and facilitated the creation of the organization's website. I also serve as a social committee chairman, organizing events and activities for the members and the community. I am eager to apply my technical skills and knowledge to contribute to the growth and success of an organization that values diversity, innovation, and collaboration.
