Amperity has been built from the ground up using a lakehouse architecture. The massive success of Databricks and Snowflake has made the cloud data warehouse the center of any good enterprise customer data architecture. In this role I am driving a cross-company initiative to continue to invest in our interoperability with cloud data warehouses to make the Amperity platform best in class at turning raw data into the best data asset to build your marketing strategy around.

Amperity has built a truly transformational new type of platform for handling customer data management at a massive scale, and in ways that truly solve customer problems. My role is a product focused jack-of-all-trades contributor. My primary responsibilities are:1. Solution and architecture design. I take new ideas for how we might use a platform like Amperity and create/trial them so that we can understand their value and how to scale them. 2. Sales and marketing enablement. Working in enterprise software means being agile and adapting to constantly changing needs from our customers. I help our field and customer facing teams navigate that change.3. Experiments. My role is often to work across teams to implement experimental new programs or features, define them for a group of early adopters, and measure success. These become new patterns for our Delivery team, or new product features, or new partnerships.

As one of the first employees to join Amperity I helped establish our Customer Success team. At the time of joining, we didn't have an application and were just beginning to engage with customers. My task was to work with our potential customers to gather requirements, integrate their data, create the right tools, and work with the Product team to make sure we were building the right features in ways that would make our customers happy.Over time I was part of our first major successful customer project, working with a major airline to integrate with Amperity and revamp their entire pre-flight email marketing experience. This project was a resounding success and became the cornerstone of our first two years as a company.

I joined IMS Health when it acquired the company I worked for, Appature. During my time with IMS I worked to scale an enterprise CRM and marketing automation platform to reach a global audience. This included expanding the Customer Success team to support customers in EU markets. Most of my time with IMS consisted of the creation of a proper support team for internal developers and external customers. Then we created analogous teams in Germany and London to support our EU customers.

I joined Appature in its startup phase and worked helping build out their Customer Success developer organization from two developers to a team of ten until acquisition by IMS Health in 2013. Our team built and maintained a custom ETL application. We worked directly with our customers and product team to help design and develop enterprise scale data flows and custom deployments of the Appature Nexus CRM solution.

CodeSmart primarily dealt in government contracts. I was a part of several projects doing web application development for the State of Washington. I developed the reporting that our legislators use to determine the budgets for our school systems. I also worked with the Department of Licensing to help upgrade some of their systems to more modern web technologies.

Avue Technologies provided HR software as well as job application software for government agencies. I joined as an intern during the last quarter of my time at the University of Washington and converted to a full time employee upon graduation. During my time there I was a full stack developer for a team of about 7. I drew several hundred icons and interfaces for their Java applications as well. About half of my time was design and half was development.
