I have worked at Geosyntec, an environmental consulting firm, since May, 2021. While at Geosyntec I have primarily worked in data management using software such as GIS, EQuIS, ESDAT, Microsoft excel and Adobe products to handle and organize large data sets in order to create tables/figures to help visualize what the data is saying. I have also worked heavily with multiple field teams in order to manage schedules and expectations between the client and the consultants. In the past I contributed to research that involved running contaminated water through peat during the first trial and biochar during the second trial to determine whether each is a good sorption media for removing contaminants. I have also been a part of a two- and half-week field camp to the black hills, South Dakota that focused on large scale mapping projects. I worked in the food industry for 3 years and at a warehouse for 2 years which helped me develop communication and team-work skills. I would like to go to graduate school in order to focus on aquifer and freshwater remediation techniques. In the future I would like to work in researching new ways to more effectively use and replenish our limited freshwater resources.
