As the director of communications for Albert Mohler, popular seminary president and podcast host, I steward the voice and values of both the president and Southern Seminary in a captivating and discerning manner. I serve as the producer of Dr. Mohler's podcasts, The Briefing and Thinking in Public, as well as his video series, Ask Anything. I manage and coordinate all media requests for Dr. Mohler and the institution. I create content for AlbertMohler.com as well as Dr. Mohler’s social media accounts. In this role, I serve as liaison between the President’s Office and the Office of Communications. One of my favorite tasks in this role has been to lead the renovation process of the studio recording space in the President’s Office.

In this position at Southern Seminary, I was responsible for developing content for email and web marketing and donor development efforts. I edited Albert Mohler’s content for use in e-books, including his Life in Four Stages book, and created content for social media. During this time, I also led the process of upgrading the institution’s public relations and media tracking software.

In this role at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, I promoted and protected the vision of SBTS in media. My responsibilities included monitoring news and online coverage, gathering and reporting our outreach data, posting on institutional social media, occasionally producing Dr. Albert Mohler's The Briefing podcast, distributing The Briefing, managing and utilizing our Cision account, and reaching out to media outlets with potential opportunities for coverage.

I served under and was mentored by Travis Cottrell. I led worship in a variety of settings, including Sunday morning worship, college ministry, student ministry, and children's ministry. I was also involved in planning and executing church-wide events. During this time, I learned to implement my musical, vocal, technical, and organizational skills in a large church.

Glasgow, Kentucky

I was the owner and operator of Shawboys Mowing. We served our customers by caring for their lawns and landscaping every week. We completed very large landscaping jobs with only a three-person crew. We never left a property in less than pristine condition. While working this job, I learned how important hard work, detailed scheduling, and tremendous customer service are.
