Moodle Administrator
Business Owner
App development business. Throughout my time at University I noticed that students were missing out on Industry experience while they were studying. University was giving them the required theoretical knowledge but there were very few opportunities for them to gain Industry experience. I decided to set up a business to give students that opportunity. My hope is these students will enter the workforce without experiencing the 'need a job to get experience but need experience to get a job' loop so many of us have experienced as Graduates.
Trainee Problem Manager
Worked with global teams to remove problems out of the ICT environment. My main role was to facilitate the investigation of recognised Problems by teams in India and Australia, ensuring in-depth Root Cause Analysis was conducted and that problems were permanently removed.
Mentor
Worked with incoming first year students to ensure that they were given adequate support in their first 6 weeks of university. A mentor acts as a friendly face as well as being a 'first port of call' for any questions. This required regular meetings and discussions with the students, while looking at key factors or signs that may cause a student to drop out of their chosen degree. Through the use of support networks and reporting, 'at risk' students are identified and given any help they require.
