Originally hired on as a member of the DevOps team, and later moved onto a new, dedicated SRE team, my responsibilities and roles at extend included the following:- Administrated the ingestion and indexing of signals from our AWS infrastructure through Datadog. Instrumented in-house tooling with additional functionality required to enable code monitoring features like tracing and enhanced metric monitoring. - Managed the xMatters application, managing workflows and automation built to enable a smooth incident management experience both through automated alerts from Datadog, and raised alerts via a slack command bot.- Worked alongside DevOps with code improvement projects, and with keeping the monitoring infrastructure compliant with the rest of the org pattern through periods of rapid growth and development.Technologies touched:- Github-TypeScript- AWS (Lambda, Dynamo, APIGW, SSM, EventBridge, SDK)- Datadog- xMatters

Assigned as an SRE in the MOC (Monitoring Operations Center)- Provide monitoring of production and lower environments' network, applications, and infrastructure.- Triage varies incident queues and resolve incident tickets related to our network/infrastructure automation stack- Develop various process improvments and automation solutions for common operational tasks- Document previously unknown or undocumented knowledge regarding the monitoring environment and associated tasks.- Assist application teams with RCA when their application or service expereince issues. Tools usedDynatrace - Used in ascertaining host-level performance and availability information, and for performing RCA on issues related to system utilization or code executionCatchpoint - Used for monitoring URL and API endpoints for various applications, internally and externally. Developing monitors using Javascript Selenium. Used in the RCA process for catching issues with production applications before impact is discovered by end user.Splunk - Used for log aggregation and reporting. In our RCA process I will utilize splunk to correllate session ID's from error messages, or pull performance and transaction data from application logs.Extrahop - Used to collect packet captures and provide insight to network-level information for our infrastructure. During production incidents, I utilize Extrahop to correllate application log errors to network-related events.

Responsibilities:- Provide on-site and remote technical support for 60+ clients- Configure and deploy IT hardware including workstations, servers, switches, and firewalls. This included configuring multi-location VPN configurations, remote access VPN solutions such as Dell SonicWall, and defining NACL rules and routing policies to best serve client business needs.- Maintain and Administrate automation solution "Connectwise Automate" for remote administration and support purposes.- Perform Security Incident Responses for clients who experienced security-based incidents such as phishing emails, hacked accounts, and malicious insider threats. - Work with a 3rd party SOC to strengthen client's security posture.- Provide end-user security training and education.
