As part of a team of Systems Administrators in the Computer Science department, I helped manage nearly 500 machines, including lab computers, servers, and workstations, supporting thousands of users. My role involved administering systems running both Ubuntu and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), contributing to the smooth and secure operation of the department's IT infrastructure.I collaborated on key projects, including maintaining a High Availability Proxmox cluster for virtualized environments, deploying and managing a RedHat Satellite server for centralized system management, and enhancing security measures across the network. Additionally, I played a role in maintaining an active IT inventory system and responding to support tickets, ensuring networking issues were handled quickly while minimizing downtime. Working on this team allowed me to develop strong technical skills and gain valuable experience in maintaining and securing a large-scale IT environment.
