This is something that I’ve been hesitant to share…My health as a college grad was so bad that I fainted in the gym!I even would throw up during pick up basketball games. I couldn’t believe that something like this could even happen to me because I still constantly compared myself to the 17 year old Gymnast I used to be. When the paramedics asked me what my major was…I took on the belief that I should be scared and embarrassed of myself for going through this. This belief has manifested not only in my fitness life, but other areas lowering my confidence level.Still even this year I struggle and feel anxiety going to the gym. I conveniently say to myself that I can just workout at home, I’ll go tomorrow.I even remember one day driving around for hours and sitting in the gym parking lot not even wanting to go in because of the fear and belief I had that those experiences might happen again.I finally asked for help. And funny enough the first person I asked was from myself. Honestly, I asked myself if I could change this old belief I had, and what small action could I take to move forward?After that I looked for mentorship and would follow people that were doing the things that I wanted to do. Like being showing up and being CONSISTENT.
