I have always had an interest in technology as a younger man. Growing up I was into video games, and like many who are this drove me to find out why my technology worked the way it did. I have always been technically inclined and good with troubleshooting and knowledgeable on computer hardware, and keeping up with advancements in hardware. For most of my early adulthood I was involved in quality control work in the oil and natural gas industry. Ultimately I decided this industry did not fit the lifestyle I wanted for me and my family, so when I left this career behind me I asked myself what should I do next? The answer was pretty clear. I am a lifelong learner, and I was already learning about different aspects of technology in my free time. As I did more research into the IT industry in more granular terms I discovered that Cyber Security had a unique draw for me. having been the child who learned how the Hexadecimal System worked so that I could change how certain aspects of my Gameboy games worked the prospect of learning how computer systems work on a low level so that you might exploit them to make them stronger really stood out to me. The fact that I love learning new things and the landscape of It and specifically security is ever changing is just a plus.
