As the Chief Operations Officer at The Urban Specialists, I oversee the strategic planning, execution, and evaluation of the organization's programs and initiatives that aim to transform urban culture and empower communities. With a Master of Science in Education and more than 15 years of experience in teaching, curriculum development, and staff training, I bring a wealth of knowledge and skills to the role. I also leverage my writing and program development competencies to create and implement innovative and impactful solutions that address the needs and challenges of urban youth and families. In addition, I am the CEO and founder of two other organizations, Civility Institute LLC and Families of Conviction, that provide educational and support services to individuals and various groups. I have a particular passion for serving families and communities affected by incarceration. I am passionate about advancing social justice, equity, and opportunity for marginalized and underserved populations, and I strive to inspire and empower others to do the same.
