Implemented the Java server-side code to migrate files from the classic pod storage architecture to the vaults.Added the ability to send SMS messages from our server code through Twilio and Plivo to enable two-factor authentication for our users.Designed and developed the metadata storage engine for Backblaze B2. This is built on top of Apache Cassandra and is used to list all files in a bucket and to quickly map from the user’s bucket name and file name to our internal Backblaze file id. Designed and implemented the authorization and bucket-related B2 API calls. Implemented file and bucket auditing processes for B2 to ensure consistency.

Implemented GMLE background correction for the microarray data. Added functionality to detect and visualize Loss of Heterozygosity in the context of genomic data.Worked remotely with the software development team at 454 Life Sciences to help standardize development processes between the teams. Fixed bugs for and released the 2.9 version of the GS Amplicon Variant Analyzer. Improved the probe selection process for NimbleDesign, a web-based application that allows scientists to design and order custom sequence capture libraries. Led the effort to move the application forward onto the most recent JavaServer Faces technology stack.
