• Worked as Business Analyst in a project to gather the requirements for the next Point of Sale solution for the Holland America Group fleet. I coordinated over 40 meetings with 33 different groups and over 100 stakeholders. These requirement discussions included interactions with stakeholders at the director and VP level. I attended vendor visits and handled ongoing communications with all stakeholders and team leaders for the project as well as handling the supporting documentation for all activities related to this analysis. • I was the point of contact for Maritime related cyber security initiatives coming from Carnival Corporation's global program. Responsibilities included reviewing, approving and implementing Maritime Cyber-security mitigation policies procedures and system solutions. This included but was not limited the setup and installation of dedicated cyber security equipment for 40 different ships and a key liaison with the Holland America Group operations support staff on all cyber security issues.• Responsibilities also included the implementation of new applications, software upgrades and ongoing support of a diverse portfolio of security and marine applications. This required coordination between third party application support teams, shore-side operational personnel and shipboard crew across numerous time zones.

Lead all aspects of operations for two 152-foot vessels with 60 guests and 24 crew, including ensuring safety, cross-departmental coordination of operations, regulatory compliance, and staff management and training. Proactive and integral participant in construction of new 238-foot vessel, including contractor supervision, coordination with regulatory agencies, and team mentorship. Serve as project manager in charge of diverse initiatives. Key Projects:-Effectively served as Project Manager for several key initiatives in the construction of the National Geographic Quest (IT and communications plan)-Managed annual shipyards from Initiation to Closing for all vessels-Proposed and followed through on improvements to existing equipment and managed these to completion

Provided key leadership of seven expedition vessels and 23-86 guests across ventures ranging from Alaska to Baja California; oversaw general operations and managed crew and staff. Liaised with USCG inspectors and ensured proper certification and credentials of crew and staff. Responsible for fleet compliance with regards to Best Management Practices. Recruited and trained staff; in charge of scheduling, staff assignments, and delegation of responsibilities. Served as Staff Captain for Colombian crewed vessel in Mexico.Key Projects: Oversaw numerous concurrent refit and government inspection projects Spearheaded IT improvement projects for the fleet from Initiating through to closing Coordinated annual safety and operational training involving 300 crew and officers  Initiated a vessel site use coordination system within the company fleet and with numerous other operators in the Southeast Alaska region

Mexico, French Polynesia, Kingdom Of Tonga, New Zealand

Pursued a life long dream of sailing from through the South Pacific region from Mexico to New Zealand. My wife and I double handed our 38 ft sailboat on a grand adventure that fulfilled this desire. One of the highlights was the 29 day passage from Mexico to the Marquesas, "It is a rare occasion that we take enough time away to let our minds empty of the day to day buzz and wander in an endless sea of stars".
