Oversees a safety management system that is proactive, predictive, and data driven; designed to identify hazards and mitigate risks in an airline operating system. Liaison with FAA, DOT, NTSB, IATA, and other industry and regulatory agencies. Additionally, a co-char of the Cargo Airline Association Safety Committee.

Fulfills 14 CFR Part 119 role Director of Flight Operations. Leads and oversees operational procedures for UPS domestic and international Flight Operations. Responsible for Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and international aviation compliance, conducts risk analysis, and executes UPS's Safety Management System. Builds alliances with internal stakeholders, trade, and business groups to drive the achievement of safety and business objectives. Manages all Flight Operations Compliance, Chief Pilots, System Operations Managers, Advanced Flight Systems Managers, and UPS's Flight Operations Technical and Safety team.

FAA Part 119 regulatory responsibility and leadership of 3,400+ UPS pilots. Oversees and manages Flight Crew operational performance for UPS Airline operations world-wide. Interfaces and represents UPS interests at industry association and governmental meetings. Oversees UPS Flight Crew administration and Flight Crew Services.

Manages UPS fleet operations for the Asia/Pacific Region, provides leadership to the Line Captains and First Officers, and represents UPS to external organizations. Oversees, manages and leads more than 700 based Anchorage pilots. Oversees and manages operational performance for UPS aviation operations in the Asia/Pacific Region. Interfaces and represents UPS interests at International Aviation Transportation Association meetings. Trains Check Airmen and Operational Experience Instructors to ensure evaluations and training are conducted per FAA requirements. Conducts performance evaluations, determines employees training needs, and resolves individual and group performance issues in accordance with UPS policies and procedures. Understands labor contract provisions and institutes changes that enhance labor relations.

Director of the largest air transportation system in the world, and the focal point for the operations of over 1,400 aircraft including C-5, C-17, C-130, KC-10, KC-135, and C-21 from active, guard, and reserve components.
