• Responsible for planning and procurement of safe, adequate and cost-effective bunkers for ~650 Maersk vessels. Annual bunker procurement valued at 8 Billion USD per year.
• Leading bunker saving initiatives and cross-functional projects (arbitrage, contango play, etc.) in close coordination with multiple stakeholders including Chartering, Deployment, Liner Operating Clusters (LOCs).
• Co-ordinate with environmental teams to provide subject matter expertise when specific bunker emission assessments are required (e.g. implementation of new ECA zones, scrubber discharge, service analysis, etc.) to.
• Closely liaise with LOCs and provide key input by running cost-benefit analysis to ensure that the network is protected and schedule reliability is maintained
• Coordinate with Chartering & Post-Fixture teams with regards to voyage efficiency of chartered vessels
• Part of the planning team to load and test Biofuels on different vessels to reduce carbon emissions as a part of Maersk’s carbon neutral strategyAchievements

• Responsible for ensuring safe, reliable and cost-effective ship management for all Maersk operated vessels (owned & chartered)
• Drive route and weather optimization to facilitate optimal fuel oil consumption (FOC) while maintaining schedule reliability as per proforma in collaboration with the Liner Operation Clusters (LOCs)
• Monitor speed and trim profiles to enhance bunker savings resulting in a safe and economical voyage
• Collaborate with Vessel Performance team on energy management of vessels and serving as first point of contact for Eco voyage, MSPS and SPOS queries
• Maintain feedback loop for product development with the Big Ocean Data (BOD) team
• Support the vessel with Security/SAAS tests

• Head of the deck department – successfully leading high performance teams while overseeing training, mentoring and appraisals for officers and crew members
• Directly responsible for risk analysis of cargo/stability calculations, vessel operations, performance optimization, safety and security procedures, and implementation of preventive measures to mitigate risks
• In charge of planning and executing complex multi-million-dollar cargo operations while optimizing for enhanced efficiency, reducing turnaround time, and achieving cost savings for the owner
• Ensuring efficient budget management by optimizing spare and consumable stock inventory and purchasing for the deck, cargo, navigation, and galley departments
• Serving as the Navigation Officer, Ship Security Officer, Environment Protection Officer and Medical Officer and ensuring compliance with national and international rules and regulations
• Experienced in dry-docking operations on Class II Chemical tankers (DWT- 50,000)

• Prepared safe, efficient and economical passage plans in line with governing rules and regulations, weather conditions, ice restrictions, load-line zones, etc.
• Ensured that bridge manning levels were safe at all times and monitored the status and upkeep of bridge equipment including GMDSS equipment, nautical charts and publications
• Maintained all relevant documents and operational records pertaining to voyage planning and bridge operations
