Led the strategic planning and implementation of marketing, public relations and digital media initiatives for all three of the Seattle Art Museum's sites: SAM Downtown, Seattle Asian Art Museum and the Olympic Sculpture Park. Directed the public relations and community engagement efforts for the museum’s capital projects including the planning and opening of the Olympic Sculpture Park (2001 – 2007) and the expansion of the downtown Seattle Art Museum (2004 -2007). The two projects generated international press coverage, raised $220 million and attract nearly one million visitors per year. Major responsibilities: • Supervise a dynamic, efficient and highly creative 13 person team through excellent interpersonal communication and management skills.•Lead all of the museum’s public relations campaigns including Picasso: Masterpieces from the Musee Picasso, Paris which became the downtown museum’s most highly attended show (405,000 visitors in a little over three months). •Manage the museum’s social media initiatives and various digital engagement projects.• Prepare the museum’s press materials, assets, media analysis reports and briefings. • Conduct media training for the museum’s senior leadership and develop strategic messaging, press conferences, speech writing and presentations. • Forge strong relationships with government officials as well as local, national and international journalists. Serve as the museum’s spokesperson. • Develop solid crisis communication plans.

•Managed the press and marketing communications for the museum and its capital campaign for a new facility in downtown Tacoma. •Led the media and community relations efforts to unveil the new museum’s design and groundbreaking for the facility.•Prepared the museum’s leadership with messaging, media training and press strategies. •Developed and launched a new brand for the museum that paved the way for the museum’s major transformation.
