Major Responsibilities Hired, trained, and led a 3.5 person development team to advance the school network mission to serve urban youth through fundraising, marketing and branding, public relations, volunteer and donor/constituent communications.  Directed the development activities of the CEO and two boards, including strategic partnerships, speech development and donor meeting preparation.  Managed the portfolio of capital, major, and mid-major donors including making asks and accompanying CEO on asks.  As a member of the network leadership team, aligned financial, operations, program, and fundraising teams to meet short-term and long-term network priorities to fulfill the current strategic plan.Major Accomplishments Developed long-term, donor-centered relationships with annual and major donors, foundations and sponsors with strategic, personalized stewardship. In <4 years, raised $8M+ in major gifts: school start-up grants, capacity building funds, general operating support, and individual contributions.  Raised $3.88M in CY 2016: $3.4M in capital campaign funds, 12 months ahead of schedule to advance into second phase of campaign.  Steered board development and special events committees to lead: 100% board giving, gala to exceed fundraising goal by 18% and an annual campaign exceeding the development plan goal by 24%. Successfully built culture of philanthropy within program staff of a multi-school network, evidenced by increased staff volunteerism and employee giving.
