I am a seasoned technology leader with over 20 years of experience in senior roles with technology-driven startups and nonprofits. I have a passion for creating innovative solutions, accelerating growth, and driving social impact through technology. As the Director of Technology at Sister District Project, a nonprofit organization supporting the election of women, people of color, and minorities to state legislatures, I spearheaded a new digital strategy, rebuilt the entire technology stack, forged new technology partnerships, optimized and automated processes, and drove online fundraising across the organization. I implemented security protocols and software to handle thousands of daily online attacks, initiated staff training programs in cyber security, and spoke at conferences on institutionalizing security within organizations. I have co-founded two startups, Aptimize and Xero, that launched innovative products and services, secured funding from leading VC firms, and achieved recognition from Gartner and Forbes. Both companies had successful exits. I served as a Strategic Advisor at CR Consultants, where I mentored and assisted early-stage companies, including minority and female-led startups, on all aspects of strategy, operations, digital media, marketing, technology, partnerships, and fundraising. My areas of expertise include business operations, business transformations, data analytics and insights, go-to-market strategy, information security, integrated marketing, capital raising, mergers and acquisitions, and partnerships and alliances. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing and Management from the University of Otago.
