Foster a positive work environment.• Prepare public comment on land use development activities that may impact water resources during local and state agency review processes. -
Outreach DirectorPomperaug River Watershed Coalition Aug 2008 - Aug 2019• Led stream assessment and monitoring programs including macroinvertebrate surveys, stream temperature monitoring, bacteria sampling, streamwalk surveys, and road-stream crossing assessments; adhered to quality assurance plans; trained volunteers and staff; managed data; prepared summary reports and maps of findings.• Facilitated watershed restoration projects including rain garden and riparian buffer plantings; identified sites, prepared conceptual designs, plant lists and led installation.• Organized, facilitated, and presented educational programs for residents, school and camp groups, community organizations, and municipal commissions. • Implemented public relations and media program that included quarterly newsletter, website, press releases, social media, and electronic communications.• Develop, implement, and supervise Internship and Youth Conservation Corps seasonal positions.• Prepared and implemented project work plans and corresponding budgets; secured project specific grant funds; prepared corresponding reports.• Cultivated and sustained project partnerships and philanthropy among individual, academic, corporate, government, and non-profit entities.• Coordinated volunteer and committee activities including stream assessments, restoration project, community outreach, and fundraising.
