Program Development & Implementation• Oversaw the Healthy Living Program (HLP) in Seattle with a close-knit team of coordinators, by supervising the facility, developing innovative programs, and prioritizing participant safety. • Monitored and evaluated program effectiveness through customer satisfaction surveys, community needs assessments, etc., and maintained a client database to track participation and membership. I served at Seattle Parks and Recreation's Lifelong Recreation, programming for adults age 50 and up. I provided program support for Dementia-Friendly Recreation and Rainbow Recreation (LGBTQ 50+) through event planning, marketing, outreach, grant-writing support, and direct service. Since the start of my service term, I co-coordinated an art and poetry workshop for people with memory loss and their care partners in West Seattle; drafted a grant that helped secure $750 of funding for Momentia programs, in Spanish and English, in Lake City; coordinated volunteers at an annual talent show that celebrates the strengths of older adults with memory loss; gained new skills in marketing and programming; conducted outreach at fairs, conferences, and local senior centers; and supported numerous fitness, art, and social programs and events for the memory loss and LGBTQ communities in Seattle, including: Arts in the Park, Garden Discovery Walks, Momentia Mind Travelers, West Seattle Momentia Mix, Momentia Mondays, Minds in Motion, LGBTQ Gentle Yoga, LGBTQ Writers' Workshop, Camp Momentia, Momentia Talent Share, LGBTQ Mardi Gras Party & Luncheon, and the Lake City Momentia Meetups.
