As a iCan! Work Program Manager at Down Syndrome Foundation of Florida (DSFF), I oversee the development and implementation of the iCan! Work Program, which provides job training and placement opportunities for adults with Down syndrome. I have a Master of Education degree from University of Central Florida and a Bachelor of Education degree in Exceptional Student Education from Florida Atlantic University. With 4 years of teaching experience at Orange County Public Schools, I have gained valuable skills in curriculum design, instructional strategies, and student assessment. I am passionate about empowering students with unique abilities to achieve their full potential and become productive and independent members of society. I collaborate with employers, educators, and families to create customized and inclusive work experiences that match the students' interests, abilities, and goals. I also manage a team of staff and volunteers who support the adults throughout the work program.
