Caroline started her career in media and advertising, holding management positions at both The Times and Sunday Times and at Mediafed (a technology start-up). I managed and led teams of up to 10 employees in these roles. We consistently overachieved against challenging budgets, hitting all KPIs and over-performing in a couple of quarters, attaining 110% of the target. During these management roles, my team developed well and gained new skill sets, which enabled a couple of them to be promoted. Following over a decade in media/advertising, I spent the following years of my career in recruitment, both within recruitment agencies and in-house, working within companies including Tessian and Attest (global technology companies). I developed leadership skills within management roles and a robust commercial mindset in my earlier career. Over the past four years, I have worked in the Education sector. During this time, I have gained expertise in SEN(D), developed multiple employer relationships, developed partnerships with providers, liaised with Local Authorities and been an integral part of the successful delivery of the Talentino! Contract followed by the Local London Careers Hub. I have led team projects involving external stakeholders and our Careers Hub team, including the first SEND Careers Fair, STEM Careers in the Curriculum CPD and SEND Community of Practice. I have worked for over 4 years with Local Authorities, the Greater London Authority and the Careers Enterprise Company, Alongside my roles at News UK, I undertook the Professional Certificate in Management through Nottingham Trent University, achieving a Merit grade. I am currently alongside the role of Enterprise Co-ordinator a Co-opted Governor at an East London Secondary School.
