Cary is a financial planner, CEO, and co-founder of Green Era Financial.Born in South Africa, his family moved to the US when he was just four years old. His dad, who was a pro golfer and golf instructor, had a successful career - until 2008 hit. Just getting started as an adult, Cary witnessed firsthand the impact the Great Recession had on his father's finances, bringing him to the brink of bankruptcy in less than a year. At this time, Cary realized that, though his dad was an amazing father and a very successful golf teacher, no one had ever sat him down and helped him put his finances in order and plan for the future. This realization spurred him to become a financial planner, vowing to protect as many families as he could from suffering a similar fate in the future.Starting his career in finance over a decade ago, Cary spent the first 5 years working in fundraising for non-profits, raising tens of millions for charities across the US. From there, he transitioned into helping individuals and families as a financial planner, proudly assisting hundreds of clients over his career in improving their financial outlook.With a passion for helping others, he co-founded Green Era Financial with one mission: to offer unparalleled investment management and financial guidance while always doing right by our clients.Holding an impressive array of licenses and certifications, including the 02-15 Insurance License, SIE, Series 6, Series 63, and Series 65 - Uniform Investment Adviser Law Certification, Cary’s proficiency lies in wealth management, portfolio design, risk assessment, and retirement planning.Outside of helping clients with their finances, Cary loves golfing with his dad, trying out new restaurants with his long-term girlfriend, and is a self-proclaimed nerd for consuming all things finance.
