    The Burn Program Manager is a nurse leader who possesses the clinical expertise in the area of the adult burn patient/families; administrative responsibilities that include but are not limited to organizing services and systems necessary for the multidisciplinary approach to burn care; and the leadership ability to strategically support and advance the mission of the BWH Burn Program. This person will manage the daily operations of the Burn Program, including oversight of the outpatient clinic, engagement in burn outreach and community burn awareness and prevention activities, and coordination of burn research initiatives. S/He will be a registered nurse who supports the assessment, management, and evaluation of the care of patients in a burn unit/clinic alongside the Burn fellow, resident and attendings.The Program Manager will focus on continuity of care issues as patients move from the critical care setting to the floor and then to rehab or the outpatient setting. Other responsibilities include health teaching, discharge planning, and coordination of care of patients in a burn unit. Administrative responsibilities include management of burn registry, management of burn outpatient clinic operations (in coordination with Sr. Administrative Director and Clinic Practice Manager), participation in research activities, providing training and lectures at partner institutions or community groups, and participating in quality improvement projects or activities.
