I began my career in the Survey industry, with 3 years experience of drafting with AutoCAD; working closely with site plans, council setbacks, contour and detail plans, building set outs, Identification surveys, Subdivisions and Building Format plans. I spent an additional 2 years managing the successful council submissions and plan sealing of projects such as subdivisions and unit developments.Following this I spent 2 years drafting for residential builders using both AutoCAD and Revit. This included drafting pre-construction plans for contract purposes and providing an estimate of site and building costs, as well as full working drawings for construction. I spent an additional year in a residential and commercial construction company with an architectural department. Drafting with Revit, I provided concept plans for bespoke residential and commercial designs, along with the working drawings required for construction. Within this role I had the opportunity to work closely with the estimator selecting building materials and internal and external colour palettes to offer the client, as well as assist in the design and execution of the company’s website and office renovations.
