Designed and implemented Noon’s AWS service stack. Created robust, scalable micro services with Clojure and Datomic. Designed zero-downtime deployment systems with terraform and Leiningen. Implemented continuous integration systems in Jenkins. Provided education and mentoring to others in the company around the technology stack.

Continued supporting the Lyve service in a DevOps role, and primarily worked as the lead developer and architect on a new Scala-based suite of microservices, using Cassandra as a backing store.

Supported Lyve's services in AWS, keeping the Cassandra cluster healthy, implemented monitoring and automation solutions.

At Memeo I designed and developed the platform behind Memeo C1, a secure file sync and sharing system for small businesses. I participated in development at all levels of the stack, from client code in Python, to server-side code in Java and Ruby, to designing map/reduce queries and custom search indexes, and designing authentication and encryption protocols.

Modal Domains is my independent development and consulting work, currently focused on iOS development. Developed system libraries for the main system of the company's product with C# on mono; developed and supported C#/mono development tools; designed and implemented an RPC system used between user interface code and the instrument; developed Linux kernel modules and C++ control code for controlling various stepper motors on real-time Linux system.

A continuation of my position at Mirra, when we were aquired by Seagate in 2005.I was a software developer for Seagate Branded Solutions, a division of Seagate dedicated to consumer products. Among other tasks, I led the development of a secure remote file access system, written in C++, running on embedded Linux systems for NAS devices.

I contributed to numerous Java software projects for the Free Software Foundation.

Principal software developer for the Mirra Personal Server. I worked with Java on an embedded Linux system, investigated various hardware platforms and their operating systems and SDKs, and worked on bringing GCJ (a part of the GNU Compiler Collection, which compiled Java to native code) to new architectures.Mirra was acquired by Seagate Technology in late 2005.
