As a career coach, I am learning and working together with two-spirit, trans, and queer folk as we navigate and break down barriers to access employment, healthcare, and other services. Living as an out and proud trans person, I know all too well the discrimination faced by my community in gaining employment. I carry this with me and let it serve as a tool for advocacy. Currently, I serve as a coach and case manager at Qmunity with PRISM Employment Support Services. I work from a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach, highlighting resilience while respecting diverse needs for emotional, physical, and mental supports. Honouring and giving space to lived experiences alongside education, we can create safer spaces for our community. - 4 years of experience working within an advocacy and community resource setting- 4 years of experience working with people experiencing houselessness, complex mental and physical health, and substance use - Passionate about harm reduction, access to employment, free and fair healthcare
