I have been in the electrical trade since 1994. I began as an apprentice with Allied Electric and completed my apprenticeship with Briggs Electric. I formed a strong relationship with another electrician during my apprenticeship, and in 1998, I joined him at his start-up business, Supro Electric and the two of us worked side by side for the next 10 years. In 2007 I was presented with the opportunity to work for Merchandise Equipment and Supply, a commercial kitchen equipment business, . I began with the intent of forming an electrical division but that soon morphed into becoming their Project Manager. I remained with MES until 2011 when I began my own business, CM Electric LLC. I was the owner operator for 3+ years. During that time, I forged relationships throughout the state of Michigan. Life brought me from Grand Rapids to the east side of the state, so I folded my business and took a position as a Master Electrician with Michigan Quality Electric in October of 2014. I was employed with MQE as the Electrical Estimator. In April of 2018 I decided to start my own business once again, this time under the name Lakes Electric LLC. I have developed a large pool of resources to pull from during my career. My time at Merchandise Equipment and Supply afforded me the opportunity to gain a wealth of knowledge pertaining to the food service industry. I was able to project manage as well as perform the electrical scope of work for a number of these jobs. I successfully built relationships from the ground up, nurtured existing connections and kept them strong. My biggest asset has been the ability to work with a variety of individuals and develop a clear understanding of their needs and then deliver appropriately. I pride myself on the connection that I maintain with past employers and clients. I truly enjoy my chosen career and look forward to sharing and receiving additional knowledge as I continue growing within my field.
