I am a Software Developer, currently working as a Junior Software Engineer at Afferent Software.During my time at WeThinkCode_ I gained a lot of very valuable experiences. I have learned to work in languages such as Java, Python, HTML, CSS, and JS, and have been able to grow many of my skills, such as teamwork, communication, and problem-solving. I often tried to lend a helping hand where I could, by helping my fellow students, hosting workshops, or volunteering. I also took on a job as a technical mentor, assisting the first years in settling into the program, and providing guidance and support.Outside of my coursework, I started to explore my interest in game development, and participated in a game jam. The game is currently only in demo form, but we plan to expand it and potentially even switch to the unity game engine. I often like to research things and have collected many odd facts and tidbits of information over the years. They tend to make for fun icebreakers and help to get a conversation going. I have a very curious mind and have always been very interested in understanding how things work, so I love engaging in hobbies that allow me to explore, discover, and create.When I'm not busy with the things of the digital realm, I can generally be found testing out a new recipe in the kitchen, trying out some kind of new crafty thing, or reading an interesting book, often one of fantasy, mystery, or some subject I found intriguing.
