I have worked in the transcription/proofreading industry for almost 15 years. I love grammar. From transcribing and proofreading medical/legal content myself to fully managing client accounts and transcriptionists. Currently, and for the last decade, I have been proofreading for court reporters ensuring their court proceeding and/or deposition transcripts accurately reflect what happened on the record. I am consistently learning about various fields I never would have known about without this career and am constantly researching everything from proper name spellings and addresses to industry-specific terms of art.I have experience with accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll. Quickbooks proficient. Can effectively use all MS Office programs, especially Excel and Word.
