As the Education and Engagement Fellow, I research, script, and lead public tours and small group lectures of exhibitions including The Yanomami Struggle and Open Call. My programs are designed to enhance understanding and connection with art, creating an immersive experience for visitors of all backgrounds.Additional work includes coordination of The Shed's tour schedule and outreach initiatives for specialized interest groups including students, local community organizations, artists and corporate sponsors; collaboration with the Curatorial and Civic Programs departments to assist in the execution of public programming including artist talks and community events.

As a member of the Education team, I curated and led public tour programs of historic 19th-century Lower East Side tenement buildings, using extensive historical research and object-based storytelling to educate visitors on the history and significance of immigration in New York City. Over the course of nearly four years, I created around a dozen individual tour programs spanning centuries of history for visitors of all ages and backgrounds. Beyond this work, I frequently supported the Public Programs staff with event preparation, group registration and management for on-site events including scholar lectures, film screenings and panel discussions.

I was hired by the Magnum Foundation to coordinate on-site event production for public programming and donor events, ensuring exceptional attendee experience and seamless operation. Through the start of the pandemic, my responsibilities included schedule organization, securing supplies, building community partnerships, guiding interns, group registration and management, and preparing a multi-functional space for events including a book launch/talk for the general public and a brunch/artists' presentation for Magnum donors. Along the way, I had the opportunity to assist the review process of global applications for the Photography and Social Justice Fellowship, created to support emerging international photographers.

As part of the Marketing and Communications team, I oversaw the College’s decades-spanning photography archive through meticulous cataloging, coordination with college staff and utilizing Digital Asset Management software to improve organization and accessibility. Additionally, Iphotographed campus events and student and faculty profiles, contributing visual content for the school’s digital and print platforms to enrich its brand representation and storytelling. Marketing support included maintaining department calendars, fielding media calls and updated school news and photo galleries for John Jay and CUNY websites.

As a recent alum of the ICP School, I was hired to assist the Community Programs team by co-leading digital photography classes at both the School and partner organizations including Friends of Island Academy, a Harlem nonprofit school for court-involved youth. I also had the opportunity to co-facilitate a month-long workshop inspired by Annie Leibovitz’s exhibition, Women: New Portraits, featured at the site of Manhattan's historic Bayview Correctional Facility.
