After retiring from the military in 2015, I dove into full-time care for my special needs son, driven by my dedication to him and my wife, an active-duty soldier. My top priority became ensuring my family's well-being and creating a stable environment for my son. Yet, my passion for digital design and development never waned. During my military service as a medic, I initiated critical life-saving training, equipping over 30 team members for emergency situations. This dedication led to my promotion as Night Time Shift Supervisor, where I oversaw the health of 1,600 personnel, managed records effectively, and fostered professional development. Leading a team of four, I prioritized readiness and team cohesion. I standardized Basic Combat Life Support training for the 1,600-member unit, boosting their emergency proficiency. On a 15-month stint in Iraq, I worked as the primary medic for an infantry unit. Recognizing my expertise post-deployment, I assumed the role of Senior Medic for my Company.
