Supported delivery of centrally driven standard skills and competencies for communicators across government. Chaired recruitment and promotion assessment centres for press, marketing, digital and internal communications posts, took the lead on developing internal communicators’ cross government network.

Responsible for all external and internal communications including regional advertising campaigns, publications, media relations and e-comms. Developed early mapping functionality with Ordnance Survey and University of London Computer Centre to allow online consultation on LGCE website. Converted consultation publication to e-publishing, increasing local participation and reducing printing schedules by 40% and overall costs by 25%.
