Building on my Governance and Administration role, which I was employed to manage, over the past 5 years I have also taken on responsibility for Admissions, Admissions Appeals, GDPR and various projects for the Trust. With 12 member primary schools, Equals Trust is growing all the time and compliance monitoring is essential to its continued success. I am delighted with my evolving role and am very proud of what we have achieved so far.

I am the Trust Administration and Governance Manager for the Equals Trust, a multi-academy trust consisting of 12 good or outstanding OFSTED primary schools in the Nottingham area. This is my most varied role to date and I feel lucky to have such diverse and challenging opportunities. No two days are the same for me! Reporting directly to our CEO, my responsibilities include planning, clerking and minuting members and directors meetings for Equals Trust, as well as the local governing body meetings. I am the Company Secretary, ensuring the Trust is compliance in all aspects of governance and decision making and have completed the DfE Clerks Development Programme. In addition to governance responsibilities, I lead on Admissions and GDPR, also acting as Data Protection Officer for several maintained schools in the Rushcliffe area.I am the Trust's presenting officer for admission appeals. Together with our Trust Finance Manager, School Improvement Lead, HR Manager and CEO, we work with schools wishing to join Equals Trust, supporting them in their applications and consultations with staff and parents.I support the Leadership Group and CEO in fulfilling their responsibilities, ensuring that Equals Trust maintains a reputation for co-operative growth to enable all children to fulfill their potential. Our collaborative approach to development is positive in fostering a team ethic and supportive atmosphere to work in.

Planning for, teaching and assessing preschool children in line with the EYFS framework, providing a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn in, supported from nursery into school, with emphasis on independent learning and transition to school. Our environment is professional, but a charity, ensuring high quality provision at reasonable rates. We have robust safeguarding and SEND procedures and welcome all children, regardless of their needs. We aim to provide nuturing support to enable all children to reach their potential, allowing them to contribute their strengths, while developing areas in which they are challenged.

As an experienced clerk to governors, I advise governing bodies on their statutory duties regarding governance and leadership of schools. I ensure governing bodies are legally compliant and follow the correct processes. I clerk for governing bodies in a variety of schools and structures, including standalone schools, academies (standalone and in a multi academy trust), collaboration, federation and also for Interim Executive Boards. I have provided advice and support to schools in complicated situations and have written federation proposals, seeing schools through the process of federation and supported governors through changes in structure. I have provided support to LA officers in meetings with governors of schools in challenging situations and have been requested to attend due to my experience, skills and ability to advise.I have recently taken on the role of Governance Review Adviser as part of a school improvement initiative to support governing bodies who have been directed to under go a Governance Review following an Ofsted inspection. This service is also available to governing bodies who wish to obtain an objective view of how they can improve and develop, following a large membership change, or in anticipation of an Ofsted inspection.

East Midlands

Advising teachers on teaching styles, activities and lesson plans. I demonstrated teaching of lessons for teacher CPD, curriculum development and demonstration of good practice. As a team, we produced website resources for lessons and topics relating to PSHE and animal welfare. I wrote and presented lectures and was the the corporate face of RSPCA for pupils and students from Nursery to degree level.
