I am an experienced womenswear designer with 17 years experience of working within the fashion industry for well known Womenswear high street brands. I specialise within the jersey departments across products with a feminine handwriting. I have a positive and can-do attitude. I have a strong eye for trend spotting and colour. I am highly skilled and pride myself on my CAD skills within Adobe Illustrator. I enjoy identifying key shapes and building colour palettes and designing innovative and commercial best sellers. I love to analyse sales data to build a strong range and enjoy working in a close knit team of designers, garment techs, buyers and merchandisers. I have experience of travelling over seas to China, Hong Kong, India and Sri Lanka to attend factory visits and build strong relationships with suppliers to help source fabrics and trims. I pride myself on my eye for detail in garment fits, and building factory friendly garment tech packs to create a finished garment. I have a particular interest in sustainability within the fashion industry.I particularly enjoy developing and mentoring junior members of the design team to help build their skills and confidence.6
