I relocated to Australia to work as one of the womenswear designers at Target Australia.Whilst at Target, I designed and looked after the contemporary tops (knit & woven) department as well as the ladies fleece department. I also previously designed for the jersey knit tops of the 'Hot Options' department which was aimed at the 18-25 year olds. I was in charge for developing new top of body products each season to sit alongside existing best sellers reporting directly to my design manager. Creating product from concept all the way through to PP samples.I worked alongside the buyers to make sure I was fulfilling their briefs and the graphic designers to create prints for the garments. I attended fit sessions on a weekly basis with the technical designers to make the best fitting garments to ensure good sell throughs.I travelled regularly overseas to the Far East for factory visits, sourcing and research.
