In my role, I collaborate with the team to fulfill the program’s reporting requirements, driving report enhancements and efficiently managing data requests to meet organisational needs. I generate comprehensive reports on the progress of the self-collect aspect of the cervical screening program, providing strategic insights into program trends. In my previous role as Data Manager for the Victorian Cervical Cytology Registry and the South Australian Cervical Screening Register, I was primarily responsible for reporting data related to the Cervical Screening Programs in both states. This included generating program indicators and performance data, producing data sets for regular and ad hoc requests, and developing comprehensive statistical reports. Through this position, I honed my skills in data extraction, manipulation, and analysis, and gained valuable experience in preparing reports using a business intelligence solution that incorporated Report Builder and advanced features in Microsoft Excel, including data cubes derived from a data warehouse.

My role as the study coordinator of the Tasmanian Asthma Study (later renamed to Tasmanian Health Study- TAHS) involved the tracing of original participants (with almost 46,000 participants), coordinating a large follow-up survey and then setting up a clinical study at many sites around the country. The role required skills in project management, time management and organisation. I also developed all databases for the research for many phases and provided large and complex datasets for analysis.

This role was for a short term maternity leave position, where I coordinated an Oralmat Medication study with asthmatic children. Duties included recruiting research participants through local media, carrying out many clinical visits and home visits with questionnaires, lung function testing and skin prick tests. Also designed databases, entered all data and cleaned data.

Duties included: recruitment of participants by letter and phone, testing of hundreds of participants with spirometry, airway challenge tests and COPD tests, administered questionnaires and skin prick tests, collected blood, coordinated mails outs of thousands of surveys and letters, developed procedures and participant documentation (including Case Report Forms), conducted many home visits, developed databases and carried out data entry and data cleaning.
