Primary responsibilities include providing consulting services to Ascensus clients through Ascensus’ technical access service, providing in-house consulting, conducting seminars, technical research, analysis and special projects as assigned. Primary focus in one area of Technical Expertise.Consulting - Provide consulting services to internal and external clients on technical, plan design and corrections issues.Training - Conduct presentations at the ERISA technical consulting meeting or other internal ERISA department training. Conduct internal basic technical training. Conduct external seminars and webinars.Course Development - Reviews, audits, and updates existing basic and intermediate internal or external training modules.Forms - Demonstrates a functional knowledge of Ascensus plan forms and notices.Employer Level Document Drafting - Audits employer level plan document preparation. Propose customized text for employer level plan document preparation.Document Reviews – Reviews and maps documents.Research - Completes basic technical research projects and present the findings.Technical Writing - Writes articles for Ascensus publications and newsletters.Legislation, Regulatory and Judicial Review - Analyzes and interprets general legislative, statutory, regulatory, or case law guidance. Determine the impact general legislative, statutory, regulatory, or case law guidance has to the industry and/or on Ascensus products, services, and/or systems.Technical Knowledge - Demonstrate a functional knowledge of main plans and products.Industry Knowledge - Demonstrate basic knowledge of the retirement plans industry including the applicable regulatory agencies (e.g., DOL, IRS)
