Currently, I partner with car manufacturers during early stage development to direct the installation, calibration, and verification of MagneRide semi-active suspension systems and passive damper equipped products. I conduct vehicle ride tuning sessions to perform vehicle ride optimization, provide on-site customer technical support including semi-active damper calibrations, passive damper valve code definition, hardware assembly changes, and perform detailed Roehrig EMA 2K test press analysis.Key Achievements:• Led full-cycle management of the MagneRide suspension systems for MY2020 Ford Performance Shelby GT500; MY2019 Cadillac CT6 V-Sport; MY2018 Ford Mustang GT; MY2015+ GMC Denali Pickup; MY2015+ Cadillac CT6; and MY2015 Ford Performance Shelby GT350/GT350R.• Successfully managed the passive damper systems for the MY2015+ Cadillac CT6 and MY2015+ Chevrolet Colorado/GMC Canyon.• Technically agile; the only team member able to work on both MagneRide and passive damper system projects.• Presented the ’18 Ford Mustang MagneRide system to journalists at both the U.S. and European press launch events.

Systematically, I led the vehicle dynamics development, tuning, and testing on new wheeled government vehicle projects. My project management responsibilities included coordination of tuning and validation testing with the Mobility Design and Test Integration teams. I also supported the validation of design through close collaboration with the Modeling and Simulation team to develop DADS models and simulations.Key Achievements:• Delivered damper, sway bar, and steering gear tuning for M-ATV vehicles, ATR prototypes, and JLTV tech demo (TD) vehicles.• Accumulated 2K miles on the TD vehicles, provided valuable troubleshooting and issue resolution strategies.• Test Incident Report (TIR) and Failure Analysis and Corrective Action Report (FACAR) coordinator; led investigations and corrective action activities in response to customer field testing issues.

In this role, I had full accountability for the development, evaluation, testing, and official sign-off of complete chassis systems including steering gear and pump, shock absorbers, springs and sway bar, suspension bushings, and body mounts. My responsibilities included conditional testing, ride evaluations, analysis of performance metrics, and determining solutions for all steering and handling issues. My team included three mechanics, and I was responsible for a fleet of 8-12 prototype vehicles.Key Achievements:• Lead vehicle dynamics engineer for MY2005-2011 Econoline Vehicles; MY2005 F250/F350/F450/F550; and MY2003 Excursion.• Managed the development of the new suspension system and steering gear from concept to production for the MY2008 Econoline vehicles.• Resolved an Econoline steering wheel vibration issue that had been the source of numerous customer complaints.• Developed a new coil spring front suspension and steering gear that provided unparalleled steering, handling, and towing performance for the MY2005 Super Duty F450 and F550 vehicles.• Increased customer satisfaction by 35%; created a package of handling improvements for the MY2003 Excursion.

I was responsible for the complete design of air brake systems including failure mode and effects analysis (FMEAs) and the design verification plan and reports (DVP&Rs). I partnered with outside suppliers as well as the Production, Drafting, and Development teams to achieve desired performance and meet project milestones.Key Achievements:• Designed the 4-channel anti-lock brake system introduced on the MY1996 Louisville and Aeromax heavy trucks and the MY1999 F650/F750 medium trucks.• Improved vehicle assembly process and decrease air leak warranty claims by developing Ford’s first push-to-connect air brake usage.• Excelled in resolving plant issues; selected as the chassis engineering launch representative for Job#1 builds.

Working within the aircraft industry, I designed commercial and military jet aircraft engine fuel control and external component layouts including 3-D cam and linkage systems, hydraulic actuators, flow metering valves, and wire management for electro-mechanical components. I prepared technical proposals, conducted design reviews, and provided expert engineering design guidance during product development and testing phases.Key Achievement:• Selected to represent the Design Engineering team on numerous high visibility cross-functional product development and product testing projects.
