Web Developer / Software Developer in Test / Test Team Liaison I started contracting at Microsoft as a vendor for Longtop. The job required me to manage test schedules using limited machines, troubleshot failures and work as a contact to a diverse collection of developers and test cases managers. I was hired at Volt/VMC to perform a similar role for the graphics team. I helped create extensive, robust and maintainable tests plans. I’ve written and implemented automation to increase test runs from weekly to daily. I regularly analyze test failures, provide repros and implement infrastructure fixes. At the end of last year VMC hired me as a fulltime employee with full benefits. Since then I’ve moved on to testing server performance on high end servers. I successfully on-boarded server performance by creating workflows and helping the customer to bring their jobs up to testing standards. Additionally, I help other teams thru the on-boarding process.

Avidian sells a CRM for Outlook. I provided level 2 technical support to a sales orientated customer base. I also performed BVT passes on pre-releases, reported and regressed failed bugs and helped developed a testing environment. I also created systems and documented processes that allowed the support team to work more efficiently. Finally I helped create and maintain SEO pages to increase Avidian’s profile.

Giant hired me to work part time from home supporting their growing user base via email. I supplemented my income by working at CompUSA. Soon Giant became a fulltime job. We sold spam blocking, pop-up blocking and anti-spyware software. At Giant I drove response and issue resolution times, explored the feasibility of feature requests, verified issues and bugs, and described reproduction and resolution steps. I also maintained shipping, our customer database, and managed billing. By the time the Giant was acquired I was identifying and documenting spyware threats and supplying customers with real time solutions. I continued to support our products thru the transition using infrastructure at Microsoft.
