Critical Facilities Engineer
CurrentInitially hired as a third-party contractor and later offered a permanent role to monitor and perform critical maintenance on all facility electrical, mechanical, structural, life safety, and critical back-up BAS systems. Identified system shortcomings and malfunctions and responded to operational and emergency situations. Recommended preventative maintenance (PM) frequencies and ensured PM specifications completion and adherence for all mission critical systems while minimizing building services disruptions. Troubleshot, calibrated, maintained, and diagnosed BAS and HVAC/R equipment. Provided 24/7 on-call facility support. Implemented an AHU recommissioning project: completed Energy Labs Fan Speed Control sequence programming and functional testing while correcting miscalculations in an active environment, thereby successfully pressurizing the underfloor plenum, eliminating the Bernoulli Effect, and decreasing supply fans speeds to 65% and energy usage by 50+%.Authored and updated standard operating procedures (SOPs), maintenance operating procedures (MOPs), and emergency operating procedures (EOPs) while integrating data-driven procedure improvements.Enhanced BAS to secure ready accessibility and comprehension by a new NAE, and created new graphics on multiple devices, thereby minimizing emergency response times.Collaborated with cross-functional teams to facilitate multiple projects involving process improvements, energy conservation, and equipment optimization.
