Assists the executive director of the Boards of Public Accountancy, Individual Tax Preparers, Foresters and Secondhand Precious Metal Object Dealers and Pawnbrokers Licensing Program. Second level of management for these programs by providing administrative planning/management of the core functions of these boards. These essential functions include examination, licensing, continuing education, CPA peer review, and complaint management.• Assists the executive director in the daily management and operations of the licensing units.• Directs the daily activities of the compliance staff in the processing of consumer complaints against licensees of the Board of Public Accountancy, Board of Individual Tax Preparers, Foresters, and Secondhand Precious metal Objects Dealers and pawnbroker program. • Supervises and assigns work to the complaint investigative staff, continuing education auditors and administrative staff. • Establishes performance goals for completion of investigations and continuing education audits. • Reviews and evaluates investigative reports and the merits of complaints filed against licensees. • Coordinates disciplinary actions against licensees with education and licensing unit in conjunction with advise from the Office of the Attorney General. • Implements policies, procedures, statutory and regulatory provisions governing the processing of complaints, continuing education audit requirements, and peer review compliance. • Represents the executive director in meetings with department officials, boards and programs, industry associations and other stakeholders of each of the boards' activities when necessary.
