Faith Leader Environmental Advocacy Training (FLEAT) LEADERS OF FAITH ENGAGED IN THE FOLLOWING:Local actions in faith communities and ways of living that restore – rather than destroy – nature and the human community, resulting in greater biodiversity and healthier ecosystems; Challenging governments by reminding them to act from principles and values that protect Earth’s living systems, including human society, as well as encouraging governments to support policies that will help to create climate resilience; Sharing stories of hope with other faith communities to inspire them to take similar actions and continue sharing. Our vision is that an empowered civil society, through education and advocacy of faith leaders, will be able to hold governments to account, and to create a sustainable future, which prioritises affordable energy for all.

Re-entering the job market after being retrenched, I sought to rebuild my confidence as an Advisor for Vodafone UK Billings department. Providing an exceptional customer service experience across various skills sets in a demanding environment allowed me to feel more comfortable looking at myself as the customer.

Data capturing in the New Accounts OCR department of Edcon really took me back to my roots in call centres as well as Edgars. This was because our family had relocated to Cape Town unexpectedly and I needed something familiar while I was finding my feet in my new surroundings. I got retrenched when the call centre closed in 2013

Collections and deliveries of laundry at various clinics and hospitals. Running various errands as needed but more than that was accepting an opportunity from an amazing couple to be of mutual assistance.

Ensure smooth running of catering events: duties included Deliveries; Customer, Staff and Supplier Interface; Administration; Order Taking and Quotations; Acting Catering Manager

I started in the Kiosk in Centurion, Gauteng performing the following; general office duties: switchboard, data capturing, record keeping, providing performance statistics, mail distribution client liaison: assisting clients with basic queries and referring clients to call centre when needed, also sending and receiving documentation of call centre on the client's behalf. I then became a call centre agent in Pretoria, Gauteng handling inbound and outbound calls on both the English and Afrikaans telephone lines for both clients and brokers, focusing on the immediate resolution of queries on linked products including life annuities, RA's, endowment policies, preservation funds and whole life investments. Which included data capturing, providing and/or explaining statements, payments of refunds, providing forms for payouts, etc. What could not be immediately finalised would then be handed over to the process assistants for completion. I then took the opportunity to become a Senior Process Assistant in Cape Town, Western Cape and interacted with clients and brokers, in English and Afrikaans, telephonically, electronically and via mail with regards to processing queries and requests regarding the day to day functioning of insurance policies, i.e. debit orders, data capturing, updating records, refunds, sending and receiving faxes, letters and e-mails, etc
