Projects:MANIFEST: A proposed robotic optic fiber positioning facility for the Giant Maagellan Telescope. May 2019 - present. Delivered Pre-Conceptual design phase, currently undergoing conceptual design phase. Macquarie University FSE Faculty Excellence Awards 2021.TAIPAN- Jun 2020 - June 2022: An optic fiber robotic positioner installed at the UK Schmidt Telescope in SSO, NSW Australia. Prototype for MANIFEST and proof of concept for the Starbugs positioning technology. I oversaw the end of the engineering commissioning phase and handed over to a small team of astronomers to conduct performance and requirement compliance verification. TAIPAN passed a requirements verification Review and it was paused.FOBOS Fiber Positioner - Jul 2019 till present: A fiber positioner for the FOBOS spectrograph proposed for Keck, Hawaii. Finalised the conceptual design, currently developing subsystems for the instrument demonstrator.Positioner Technology Review - May 2022 - Nov 2023 - A parallel trade-off process for MANIFEST, FOBOS.FPP, and other positioners, aiming to derive the design of optic fiber positioner from high level requirements. Eupraxia. Jun 2021 till present: Successor of PRAXIS, Eupraxia is a OH-suppression facility being optimised and developed to be proposed for world class telescopes. DOT HRS - Apr 2022 till present - A high resolution spectrograph for the Devasthal Optical Telescope in India. Currently in procurement and manufacturing stage.

Infrastructure program management for broadband optic fibre networks deployment. Focused on design, deployment, planning, operation and maintenance across the main cities of Colombia. • Managed and developed a high-performing multi-disciplinary team of 20+ professionals and technicians.• Managed and delivered capital works program; constructed and equipped 15 buildings to serve as distribution nodes and Network Operations Centres (NOC’s) to enable the deployment of broadband networks in metro-areas.• Oversaw the process of specification, tender analysis and the selection of construction contractors. • Promoted and negotiated framework agreements for trenchless methods of outside plant construction; reduced end-to-end time of installation by min. 30% and reduced environmental/social complaints by 70% within cost/meter budget.• Built synergistic partnerships and collaborated with teams from other utility operators on shared services infrastructure to deliver a >$5.0M reduction in the cost of access network construction.

Colombia

Oversaw the detailed design, construction and commissioning phases (electrical discipline) for the deployment of the natural gas network of Gases de Boyaca y Santander, covering an area of over 50 thousand square Km and encompassing 49 gas stations, the NOC (network operation center) and 4 microwave stations for Scada and safety remote control. At the end of the project, the service of natural gas reached over 40 municipalities with a mostly rural population of 3.3 million people. http://www.promigas.com/En
