As the Marketing and Communications Specialist in VHB’s Vermont Office, I am responsible for creating engaging proposals and marketing materials that capture the energy and commitment of our staff and help our clients achieve their goals. I also work with our corporate Marketing & Graphics team to provide event coordination for the Vermont office and overall marketing support including; internal and external communication, public outreach and client relations. I am also the communication and marketing liaison for VHB’s Corporate wide Structures Team. I have worked with a diverse group of stakeholders in the New England transportation community and excel at communicating complex/technical messages in a format that is accessible and engaging to target audiences.

Caitlin Pierce has over five years of marketing experience, including significant experience leveraging social media platforms to promote brand identity and communicate critical information to target audiences. She integrates social media into every marketing opportunity and understands the importance of utilizing the latest social media platforms to deliver messages quickly and effectively. Caitlin has worked with a diverse group of stakeholders in the transportation community, and delivers complex messages in a format that is accessible and engaging to target audiences. A proud Vermonter, Caitlin has also worked closely with numerous local towns and regional agencies on transportation planning projects.

Provided event support to senior event coordinators within the CAES office for their fall events, and helped with all facets of their events; including registration, development of educational materials, menu selection, and creating signage.

Developed a comprehensive internet based marketing plan for Midlife - Unlimited, a personal coaching business targeting third lifers. Utilized social media sites, search engine optimization, and other online marketing techniques to help meet our clients unique business needs.

Responsible for greeting customers and ensuring that they had a positive dining experience. In my role as take-out manager I was responsible for the other take-out employees and all customer service at the take-out windows; including refunding money, fielding customer complaints, and being held accountable for registers at the end of each shift.

Helped Coastal Ridge Elementary School teachers take their traditional lesson plans and create multi-media presentations for students and faculty in conjunction with their year long interdisciplinary study of the York River.

Coordinated Final Presentation Compiled data and formatted final powerpoint presentation for client and class. Final presentation included organizing and formatting over 50 powerpoint slides and providing client and attendees with hard copies of the presentation.

Welcomed prospective students and their families to campus, answered questions during open houses, and conducted walking tours of campus. I was also responsible for answering questions directed to the admission office, organizing tour groups, sorting received applications, data entry, and other administrative tasks.
