As a human resource administrator for a well-known Dairy company and its subsidiaries, I assisted the Human Resource Manager with onboarding and offboarding employees, maintaining accurate and confidential employee records, including FMLA, benefits, PTO, chain of custody and driving violations. My daily activities included, Creating and setting up candidates in our internal system to ensure efficiency and accurate reporting to the Department of Transportation. I was also responsible for enrolling employees into healthcare plans, disputing or settling unemployment claims, managing employee terminations, ensuring compliance with offboarding procedures and labor laws requirements.

In this role as licensee manager, I worked closely with licensors and secured prompt approvals for all concepts, sampling, and production. I was a liaison between the designers and licensors, focusing on the smallest details to properly translate the licensors requests and requirements. I reviewed all pre-production samples, resubmitted changes as per licensor’s comments for over 1500 styles and 20 brands including packaging, PDQ’s, marketing materials and social media requests. I reviewed contracts, fulfilled pre- production and production requirements, and sustained extensive communication with our overseas vendors. In this position I was able to manage and delegate to a team of 6 employees to ensure projects were completed on time and as per the licensor’s specifications.

As a senior merchandiser, I oversaw the new watch division and created trendy and sellable assortments for various mid-tier, mass, and specialty accounts based on my extensive knowledge of the marketplace. Worked side by side with the production team and overseas vendors to bring price conscious product to market. In this role, I strategically prepared the showroom to showcase trendy and carefully priced watch assortments every market week. I also spearheaded market meetings to entice customers and generate sales. I directly reported to the owner of the company, brainstormed on developing in-house brands, department spending, market strategies and other company growth opportunities.

After an assortment is designed and ready for sampling as the production manager, I negotiated pricing and oversaw every aspect involved with bringing finished products to market. This involved expert skills in sourcing, understanding component pricing and landing costs to ensure maximum net profitability. In this role, I implemented systems to control efficiency, planned production schedules and the coordination of all components including raw materials, packaging, labeling and approvals. Problem solved if technical or cosmetic issues arose and guaranteed that all products/factories met testing, social auditing, and other legal mandates. Worked directly with Customs and freight forwarders to prepare documents for the release of goods and other issues that required my intervention. This role required me to manage all phases of multiple accounts including Walmart US & Canada, which brought in approximately 20-45 million dollars annually. ROHS, Prop 65, Materials Testing: Intertek, Bureau Veritas, GIA, Ascena, SGS, PSFGA. In this role I also successfully managed the production team which included training and development, retention, team building, department budgeting, bonus allocations, salary structures and work scheduling. With a team of 10 I oversaw subordinate evaluations, hired new employees and focused on combating high turnover through conflict resolution and employee motivation.

After being promoted to brand manager, I conceptualized, and executed cohesive product assortments for the following top brands: Hallmark, Jessica Simpson, Nicole Miller, Sofia Vergara, Style & Co, I.N.C, Melania, Isaac Mizrahi, Gossip, Joan Rivers, Steel by design, Liz Claiborne, Diane Gilman, R.J. Graziano, Coleman, and many other notable brands. Each line was strategically developed through sales analysis and R&D. Handling all phases through concept, design and sampling, I have been able to successfully increase the company’s revenue by 25-30% annually while sustaining the brand’s integrity.

As a sales assistant to a well-known and respected sales executive, I was in direct and indirect communication with various department store customers. My duties included, scheduling appointments, spearheading market meetings and following up with many internal departments to make sure the customer’s needs were fulfilled with 100% accuracy. In this very diverse role, I processed and tracked multiple orders, managed inventory and returns, analyzed sales projections and summarized expenses. With the great rapport I was able to develop with customers and my willingness to see projects through from start to finish, in time I was able to gain my own accounts to handle and became an interim Sales executive.

As a design consultant, I drafted floor plans using my technical and creative skills in space planning.Traveled to a potential client's home to provide a complete design solution. Maintained the showroom, created filing systems for receipts, materials and other in office products. In this role, I gained the knowledge of effective sales techniques and the ability to sell design solutions.
